Preservation Through Craft
We believe that automotive restoration is a dialogue between the past and the present. Our philosophy is rooted in the pursuit of structural integrity and the meticulous application of old-school techniques. We prioritize the preservation of original character while ensuring every component meets the highest standards of mechanical excellence. At Hot Rods By Travis, we reject modern compromises in favor of authentic craftsmanship, ensuring that every vehicle we restore is a testament to the enduring beauty of the classic machine.

About Me
Old School hot rods and muscle cars are my passion along with vintage 4x4s. I was born in 1971 at the end of the factory muscle car wars but I grew up with these cars which at the time were considered "old junk" by most. To me, cars of the 50's, 60's and very early 70's were works of art, something to not only be looked at but used as intended.
I have fond memories of driving a 1969 Camaro all over California while stationed there for a stint in the US Navy. Power nothing, windows rolled down, heater running on high to bring engine temp down and trying to hit Vegas after midnight when it was coolest.....My future wife and I made many trips between San Diego and Napa and long drives back to Colorado.
I'm a small shop and generally take on one or two projects at a time. Your car will not be stuck in "paint jail". If I tell you it will be done on a certain date then thats when it will be done - I pride myself on keeping true to the commitments I make.
I love doing work for veterans and father/son/daughter projects.
